As the FIFA club world cup comes to an end on Sunday, July 13, 2025, a lot of fans especially rivals fans have written Chelsea of due to PSG’s crazy form.
Chelsea and PSG booked their places in the final after eliminating Fluminense and Real Madrid respectively in the semi-final.
Most football fans especially rival fans of Chelsea don’t see them having any chance against PSG who they (rival fans) think had a good test enroute the final unlike the blues who had it easier without facing big clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid etc.
However, I sincerely think Chelsea has all or if not all, most of what it takes to disrupt PSG’s sleek pressing playing style in New York where the final will be played.
We have seen these things happen several times in the past where Chelsea always defeat teams that are having a wild run of form. Think about Barcelona’s prime of Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta under Pep Guardiola.
What about Bayern Munich 2012 UCL final or should I talk about Pep’s City squad of 2021 whom Chelsea snatched what could have been their first UCL title?
You see, Chelsea is that club that does the unthinkable. They always deliver when most people consider them as underdog.
