The Struggle To Retrieve Our Mandate Is Not About Me – Peter Obi Says In Asaba

The Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi has reiterated his committment to the fight of retrieving his mandate which he alledged said was stolen from him by APC.

Peter Obi said this during a the Labour Party National Executive Committee NEC, held in Asaba on Tuesday April 18th 2023.

Addressing the NEC, Mr Peter Obi maintained that the struggle to reclaim the mandate was not about him, as a person, but about millions of Nigerians who reposed their trust on him through their votes.

“The millions of Nigerians who voted for me did not just cast their votes, but they invested their hope in me. They deserve justice. So, we must stay the course’

The meeting passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman, Comrade Julius Abure and suspended the imposter National Chairman, erstwhile National Vice Chairman Lamidi Apapa and also Alhaji Salem Lawal, Prince Favour Reuben, Gbenga Daramola, Samuel Akingbade and Mohammed Akali…

NEC also appointed veteran journalist Obiorah Ifoh, as the Acting National Publicity Secretary.

The meeting also ratified the expulsion from the party of the former National Publicity Secretary Mr Arabambi Abayomi, which was earlier decided at the Akure Convention.
