Video;Seun Kuti Released From Prison

Afrobeat singer, Seun Anikulakpo Kuti son of Legendary Fela Kuti has been released from police custody after perfecting his bail conditions on Tuesday.

Kuti has been detained by the police for allegedly assaulting a police officer some days ago on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

Recall that Kuti’s lawyers in a statement had earlier said that he would be released on bail as ordered by the Magistrate.

Seun Kuti was earlier granted bail, but the Nigerian Police Force filed a fresh suit to detain him for an extra days until their investigation is completed.

Following the outcry and of some notable people in Nigeria including the #RevolutionNow concerned Omoyele Sowore who said that the continued detention ofe Seun Kuti has now turned to angry revenge.

Seun Kuti was finally released on Tuesday evening following a late seating of the court which granted him bail with some bonds with was perfected Immediately.
