Sam Daddy Emerges Imo PDP Governoship Candidate

The National Secretary Of The People’s Democratic Party PDP Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu Samdaddy has emerged the Imo PDP governoship candidate in the November 11 governoship election.

Samdaddy was returned unopposed in the party’s primary election conducted on Wednesday in the Party’s State Secretariat following the withdrawal of other aspirants of the Party.

Recall that Chief Emeka Ihedioha the former governor of Imo State, last month withdrawn from participating in the governorship party’s primary election to pave way for a consensus candidate to emerge from the party.

The National Secretary of PDP was declared the winner by the congress committee chairman, Kenneth Okon after he was elected as a consensus candidate by delegates from the 27 LGAs of the State.

Accepting the outcome, Anyanwu said he is running for Governor to secure the State and open her up for economic opportunities and sustainable development.

He stated that as Governor, his administration will give special attention to empowering and developing the talents of the teeming youths of the State.

The former lawmaker thanked the leadership of Imo PDP and the delegates for their support and cooperation, adding that his emergence as a consensus candidate reflects the understanding within the party in the State.
