Ralf Uwazuruike Begs Buhari To Release Nnamdi Kanu Immediately

Leader of the Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has renewed his earlier appeal to the President of Nigeria, Mohamadu Buhari, to free the detained Director of Radio Biafra, London, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently being detained in DSS facility, on or before May 29th handover date.

The BiM/MASSOB Leader who spoke through a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday and signed by the Director of information/ Senior Special Assistant to BIM/ MASSOB on Media and Publicity, Mazi Chris Anierobi Mocha, stressed that effecting the quick release of the Pro- Biafra activist , will serve as a parting gift to the South East region.

Uwazuruike who was worried over the continued detention of Kanu even after several courts of competent jurisdiction had ordered for his immediate release but was disobeyed by the executive arm of government is a total disregard to the rule of law and a violation of the Nigerian constitution.

Uwazuruike who holds the traditional title of Ijele ( the biggest masquerades in the South East region) however urged Buhari not to leave the release of Kanu to the incoming government.

“listening to my appeal will be seen to following the democratic principles”, he posted.
