Police Invites Emeka Ihedioha,3 Others For Questioning Over Murder Case

The Imo State Police Command has invited the former governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, Imo PDP Chairman,Charles Ugwu, former deputy governor Gerald Irona and Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere to appear before it for questioning over a case a case of murder.

The letter dated 13th March 2023 was signed by Imo deputy commissioner of police DCP Ukachi P.Opara and addressed to the chairman of Imo PDP Charles Ugwu requesting that he appears before the Commissioner of Police alongside , Ihedioha,Irona and Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere for and interview.

All though Gerald Irona former deputy governor is currently in prison after he was convicted of treason by the Owerri magistrate court on Monday.

It is yet to ascertain if the PDP Chieftains will honour the invitation as many has speculated it to be a plot to arrest and detain them ahead of the March 18 governoship and State Assembly election.

The office of State Intelligence Bureau, Imo State Police Command, State Headquarters Owerri, is investigating the above underlined case involving some prominent members of Peoples Democratic Parties (PDP) Imo State Chapter.

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command requests, you come along with the following persons,

1. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
2. Ugochinyere Ikenga Imo.
3. Hon. Gerald Irona.

to interview the Commissioner of Police, through the officer in charge of State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) Owerri.
