Peter Obi Visits Woman Attacked By Thugs During Presidential Election.

Peter Obi the Labour Party presidential candidate in the just concluded February 25 presidential election has paid a visit to Mrs Jennifer Efidi the woman who was stabbed by thugs trying to cast her votes during the February 25 presidential election.

Jennifer Efidi was attacked and staffed in the eye by some political thugs who was trying to stop her from casting her votes but in the pull of her blood Mrs Efidi insisted in casting her votes with her condition.

The action of Mrs Efidi has attracted wide commendation from Nigerians commending her patriotism to Nigeria.

Mr Peter Obi in a post on his Twitter handle on Monday after the visit to Mrs Jennifer Efidi said that she is one of the icons of democracy a good example of what a patriotic Nigerian should be.

He further stated that the action of Mrs Efidi is his points of contact to every Nigerian who suffered a similar fate in their bid to exercise their voting rights.

The Statement Reads;

Today, I visited Mrs Jennifer Efidi. She was attacked on 25th February in an attempt to stop her from voting, but she stood her ground. Jennifer is one of the great icons of Nigeria’s democracy.

She is my point of contact with every Nigerian who suffered a similar fate in their bid to exercise their voting rights, and contribute to a new Nigeria.

Like many Nigerians, I acknowledge her bravery and resoluteness.Jennifer is a true manifestation of Profiles in Courage for a new Nigeria.
