Peter Obi Took Labour Party From Zero To Hero – Reno Omokri

Former aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan Reno Omokri has said that the emergence of Peter Obi as the Presidential candidate of Labour Party turned the fortunes of the Party around.

According to Omokri, Peter Obi single handedly turned the Labour Party who was relatively an unknown party and transformed them from zero to hero.

Reno Omokri was reacting to the in-house fighting of the Labour Party, by the two factions and the comments made by Lamidi Apapa led faction of the party against Peter Obi.

Recall that the Julius Abure led faction of Labour Party which has the support and recognised by the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC was on Tuesday in their Executive Council Meeting in Asaba which was attended by Peter Obi suspended Lamidi Apapa and 5 others from the party.

Reacting to his suspension by Abure led faction, Lamidi Apapa described the meeting in Asaba Delta State as a joke and his alledged suspension as illegal.

Je further stated that Peter Obi lacks the capacity and ability to be the president of Nigeria.

Reacting to the above statement by Lamidi Apapa, Reno Omokri in post on his Facebook handle on Wednesday described the in-house fighting of Labour Party as unwise adding that if it were not the emergence of Peter Obi, labour party would have still remained an unknown party.

His Words

L’abour Party is very unwise to have this infighting. No matter the issue the Apapa led faction have, they ought to recognise that Peter Obi took Labour from zero to hero in less than a year.

“If someone can achieve that for you, you can as well forgive his lapses! I have very serious issues with Peter Obi for letting the APC and Bola Tinubu inadvertently use him to deny his former party of a clean victory.

“But the election is over. If the Presidential Election Petition Court does not void Tinubu’s election, Nigeria will need a strong Labour Party to help the Peoples Democratic Party to keep the All Progressives Congress in check.
