Peter Obi Condemns Attack On Adeboye,Says Oppositions Now Use Obidients Movements To Commit Crimes

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party Peter Obi has condemned the attacks and abuses on the general overseer of the Redeeming Christian Church Of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye over his comment on God helping Tinubu rule Nigeria.
Recall that pastor Adeboye had earlier stated that the President-elect “Tinubu is going to rule Nigeria by God’s grace” a statement which did not go down well with some Nigerians who thinks the process by which Tinubu was declared winner was fraudulent.

Some which has been described as the Obidients Movements and supporters of Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi have been accused of being responsible for the insults and abuses on Adeboye.
Reacting to the accusations, Peter Obi said that some people are masquerading under Obidients to causing problems and abusing a some prominent personalities especially as regards to Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
According to Peter Obi in a post on his Twitter handle on Thursday, said that Obidients are by and large law abiding citizens.

Peter Obi further warned against any calculated efforts to create any ethnic or religious tension in the name of politics.

“The use of subterfuge by people masquerading as Obidients to abuse and insult eminent personalities like Most Reverend Pastor Enoch Adeboye or anyone else is most unacceptable. Obidients are by and large, law-abiding citizens.
“While differences of opinion are normal, calculated efforts to create ethnic or religious chasm all in the name of politics should not in any way be tolerated. As a person, I eschew name-calling, insults, and abuses, likewise most of my supporters.
“The suggestion that some in the fringes engage in such conduct casually overlooks the fact that the political opposition deploys such methods to gain undue advantage and create confusion and bad blood.
