Nekede SUG Disowns Female Student Who Said Her Kpekus Helped Her To Graduate.

The Students Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Nekede In Imo State has disowned a female student identified as Sharon Ogechi Okoroafor over a video she posted on her tiktok account where she was quoted as saying “God And Her Kpekus Helped Her To Graduate”. after her final project defence on Monday.

The video which has since been trending on social media, has caused wide reaction and speculation that the she and her lecturers has been involved in s€$x for grade business in the school.

Reacting to the trending video,the Students Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Nekede in a statement through its president, Ahaneku Valentine.N disowned the students saying that the lady is neither a student of the federal polytechnic Nekede or has anything to do with the institution.

He further stated that the lady in question has no Registration (Matriculation) Number. maintaining that she also does not have any project or research supervisor to show she has graduated.

He stated that the purported student never joined others to do the defense which brought them to school because she had no work to defend.

The Statement Reads

We have noted with grave concern a viral video of a lady claiming to be a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, our great institution and noble almamater.

We have conducted a background check on the said student who goes by the name, Sharon Ogechi Okoroafor from Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State. We wish to state, thus, that the Student Union Government views this video as sacrilegious and condemnable.

Also the said Sharon is not a bonafide student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede because she has no Registration (Matriculation) Number. She also has no project or research supervisor to show she has graduated.

Indeed, the purported student never joined others to do the defense which brought them to school because she had no work to defend. In fact, reports have it that she only came to take valedictory photos with her so-called course mates.

Anyone can gatecrash in lectures but only a student who has been duly registered and screened by the institution is a genuine student.

Our institution is a reputable brand across the nation, having been rated best-performing polytechnic, and our Rector as best Rector for five times.

This is the same institution that invented an electric car and fabricated automated handwashing machines during the ill-fated Covid-19 era. It is the same institution that has produced great minds and leaders. We can therefore not allow the name of our great institution to be taken to the mud by the accusations of a base character.

Through a radio programme, the said girl has stated that the she never suggested that she slept with her lecturers as he had never traded with her body, adding that she only meant to call “pupsy” and not the “pussy” attributed to her.

May we use this medium to declare that our institution has remained the best-performing polytechnic in Nigeria and none of our lecturers would dare sell grades by debasing so low to sleep with a student.

The Rector has been diligent in maintaining that any staff or student caught in any proven case of indiscipline will face the music. There are also a set of numbers released to students to call when being exploited. These are practices instituted by the smart Rector to ensure Nigerian students are not shortchanged.

We, therefore, urge Miss Sharon Okoroafor to stop forthwith in her fraudulent claims that she is a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede owerri, Already she has caused great damage to the sensibilities of noble students of the polytechnic and those of the entire Nigerian students nationwide. We leave her in the hands of posterity to judge.
