LAWMA Arrest 30 Lagos Residents For Wrong Waste Disposal

The enforcement unit of the Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, has taken in custody thirty (30) suspects caught engaging in indiscriminate waste disposal at various locations in Ipaja and Ikate-Surulere areas of the state.
The Managing Director, LAWMA, Ibrahim Odumboni, disclosed this to newsmen on Friday.

According to him, the suspects, that were arrested during enforcement operations across the state would soon be prosecuted.
Odunmboni added that LAWMA team also destroyed shanties and illegal structures in the process.
He said the agency had started a solidly built operation to dislodge scavengers and miscreants from illegal dumpsites across neighborhoods in the city, for a cleaner and healthier environment in Lagos State.
