INEC Officially Announced Bola Tinubu President-elect

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, professor Mahmood Yakubu has officially announced the presidential candidate of APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner and president-elect of the February 25 Presidential election.
According to the INEC chairman,the APC candidate polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat fellow contenders Atiku Abubakar of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 6,984,520 votes, while the Labour Party’s Peter Obi had 6,101,533 votes to come third, and candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Rabiu Kwankwaso with 1,496,687 votes.

Calculating the number of states won by each Candidate, APC won 13 States, while PDP and LP won 12 states each.
In the issue of 25% which a presidential must get before being declared a winner, INEC chairman read that the Presidential candidate of APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed had 38 percent while PDP and LP had 26 and 25th percent respectively.
