INEC Declares Umaru Fintiri Winner Of Adamawa Governoship Election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the governoship candidate of PDP and the incumbent governor Almadu Umaru Fintiri winner of the March 18 Adamawa governoship election.

The election which was marred with many controversies during and after the election saw the Resident Electoral Commissioner Of Adamawa Hudu Yunusa-Ari horridly declaring the candidate of APC Aisha Dahiru Binani winner of the election while the collation of results has not been concluded.

Following the outcry of the PDP, INEC suspended the collation and announcement of results and immediately suspending the Resident Electoral Commissioner Hudu Yunusa-Ari with immediate effect.

INEC commenced the collation of results on Tuesday April 18th in Abuja at 3:Pm announced the governoship candidate of PDP Umaru Fintiri as winner of the election.

According to INEC, Fintiri polled a total of 430,869 votes to defeat his closest rival the candidate of APC Dahiru Binani who polled 398,788 votes to come second.
