INEC Declare Adamawa Governoship Election Inconclusive



The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the governoship election in Adamawa State inconclusive over report of over voting.

This was announced by the Resident Electoral Commission of Adamawa State Hudu Yunusa-Ari during his press briefing on Monday.

Mr Yunusa-Ari stated that according to results collated so far by INEC, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Senator Aishatu Dahiru popularly known as Binani scored 390, 275 while the incumbent governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 421,524.

INEC declared the election inconclusive due to the margin of votes collated so far between the two main contenders.

He further assured that the full results of the poll and the winner will be announced according to the electoral law without sentiment.
