The Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has promised to transform the south eastern part of Nigeria into the Taiwan of Nigeria if he is elected president in the 2023 Presidential election.
Tinubu said this on Thursday in Ebonyi State where he was conferred with a Chieftaincy Title by the governor of Ebonyi State Dave Umahi
Speaking after the ceremony,Tinubu said he has seen the giant strikes of the East and their efforts towards the economic growth of Nigeria, adding that if the zone is properly taken care of,will become the economic hub of Africa.
Tinubu, therefore promised to make South East the Taiwan of Africa, and great support to the south east to reach their full production potentials if is elected the president of Nigeria in 2023.
“Today in Ebonyi, “the Salt of our Nation”, I reiterated my belief in the entrepreneurial spirit that is the hallmark of the South East. I have a record of encouraging Igbo businesses and investments in Lagos and will even do more if I become president.
“There can be no discrimination against any section of our country if we are to be a great nation. Most important, I intend to encourage policies to aid commerce and support South East states to reach their full potential – removing hindrances to trade, improving economic access, and working with our businessmen and women to make the South East the Taiwan of Africa with further investments in people, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, and mineral resources.
“I also want to specially thank Governor Umahi and the good people of Ebonyi for the warm welcome, and the great job he has done in making Ebonyi State the jewel of the South East.He said
