Don’t bring Kwankwaso Into APC, Buhari’s Ally Warns Tinubu

An associate of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in Kano, Alhaji Abdulmajid Danbulki, has cautioned the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, against any move to form an alliance with the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Danbulki, who is popularly known as Commander, made the call while addressing a news conference in Kano on Thursday.

His call came against the backdrop of the reported meeting between Tinubu and Kwankwaso in Paris, France.

He warned that any political alliance between Tinubu and Kwankwaso would not augur well for the President-elect and the All Progressives Congress.

According to Commander, the President-elect does not need Kwankwaso in the APC as there are notable stalwarts of the party in Kano and other parts of the North that would competently promote his interest and that of the party in the region.

When contacted, kwankwaso’s spokesperson, Ladipo Johnson, said Danbulki and his cohorts could say whatever they wanted to say but the issue was beyond “such people’s myopic thinking.”
