Breaking News Supreme Court To Hear Nnamdi Kanu’s Case Today

The supreme court of Nigeria has fixed 27th April 2023 to hear the case of the detained leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu filed a counter appeal to the supreme court after the Appeal Court overruled itself in the judgement which discharged and acquitted Nnamdi Kanu of the seven count charges against him.

After the three members panel judges of the Appeal Court had discharged and acquitted Nnamdi Kanu of the seven count charges against him by the federal government, the federal government of Nigeria through its Attorney General and minister of justice Abubarka Malami filed a counter appeal a judgement which ordered all the individuals to maintain status quo pending the outcome of the case in the supreme court.

After various calls for the supreme court to commence there hearing,the Supreme Court of Nigeria has now fixed today April 27 for hearing.

This development was announced by the lawyer of Nnamdi Kanu Barrister Alloy Ejimako in a post on his Twitter handle.

As the Supreme Court convenes to hear Onyendu #MNK’s appeal today, let equity, justice & good conscience guide the hand of the Court to undo the grave injustice that was done to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu almost two years ago. Injustice has an expiry date. Let today be that expiry date.
