Breaking;Court Awards N500M To Nnamdi Kanu Orders FG Return Him To Status Quo
The federal high Court in Umuahaia Abia State on Wednesday 26th October ordered the Federal government of Nigeria to pay the embattled leader of the Indigenous peoples of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu the sum of N500million for damages following his arrest from Kenya.
According to the presiding judge justice Evelyn Anyadike also ordered the government of Nigeria to return Kanu to Kenya where he was forcefully arrested and tortured before bringing him back to Nigeria on July 2021.

The judge also stressed that the extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya is illegal and gross violation of his fundamental human rights.
Recall that the lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu Barrister Aloy Ejimakor had earlier filed an application challenging the abduction and extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya with proper court warrant to carry out such arrest.
In her ruling,justice Evelyn held that Nnamdi Kanu has been exposed to global ridicule that also requires a global cleansing.
The court thereby award the sum of N500million to Nnamdi Kanu and ordered that he be restored to status quo.
