CBN Governor Is An Enemy Of Democracy – Fani Kayode.

Former minister of culture and tourism Femi Fani Kayode has described the governor of the central bank of Nigeria Godwin Emefiele as an enemy of democracy as he has used the CBN Office for political witch-hunt.
Emefiele has been under heavy criticism especially from top Politicians following the CBN policy to change the old naira notes of the country.
This decision, from the CBN has also seen the House of Representatives threatened to issue a warrant of arrest if the CBN governor failed to appear before the house to explain the policy of the new naira notes.
Reacting to the 10 February deadline day of the central bank to deposit the old naira notes Kayode took to his social media handle to call for the total cancellation of the CBN policy until after the 2023 general election.
According to Kayode,he said that the CBN governor want to cause crisis and provoke a people’s uprising and derail the democracy and pave way for an ING.
“Emefiele has weaponsed the CBN and is an enemy of democracy. The policy of cancelling old notes must be totally cancelled until AFTER the election and then done lawfully.
“He wants to cause a crisis, provoke a people’s uprising, derail our democracy and pave the way for an ING. He has NO plans to release enough new naira notes any time soon.

“He wants to STARVE the people of cash and drive them to rage out of frustration. This is not about politics but about stoking up protest and revolution.
“This is subversion and destablisation.He must be stopped and caged!(FFK)
Recall th DAILYNEWSLINK has earlier reported that the Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele appeared before the house of representatives where he said that Nigerians will not loose their old naira notes even after the February 10th deadline date.
He further promised that the banks Will continue to accept the old naira notes until all the old naira notes are fully returned to the banks
