BREAKING: Hope Uzodinma Grants 10 Days Amnesty To Criminals In Imo.

The governor of Imo State Senator Hope Uzodinma has granted 10 days amnesty to criminals, bandits and terrorists in imo state to submit themselves to their various traditional rulers or face a stiffer military onslaught.

Hope Uzodinma made this statement on Sunday 26th June 2022 at a Sunday service in the government House chapel in Owerri the capital city of Imo State.

According to him, Hope Uzodinma said that he is determined in transforming the state for a striving economy, and will not allow criminals in the state to destroy every effort they have put in making imo state a better place.

He maintained that protection of lives and properties of the people remains his utmost priority and he will put every measure in place to make sure the state is sanitised so that peace with return in the state.

The Statement Reads

All is set for consolidation on the peace and tranquility we have restored within the State as I announced a 10-Day window of amnesty to everyone caught in the web of criminality and banditry within the lands of Imo State.

On this note, I call on every repentant criminal / bandit within the State, to quickly submit themselves to their Traditional Ruler for enumeration and amnesty, otherwise, expect stiffer military onslaught on all criminal camps.

Our determination in transforming the State for a striving economy, remains a pursuit we will stop at nothing towards the actualization. So far, we have implemented varied policies in this regard and our road construction projects have continued to close the gaps on our road network.

Within the next few weeks, we anticipate the presence of President Muhammadu Buhari for the commissioning of Owerri-Orlu and Owerri-Okigwe Roads. A signature project conceived and executed under my administration in line with our developmental drive.

We must continue unabated and against all odds in transforming our dear State into a modern economic State for our overall benefits.
