Atiku Mourns Former Anambra State Governor Mbadinuju

Former vice President of Nigeria and the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP has expressed sadness over the death of former Anambra State Governor Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju who died on Tuesday April 11th after a brief illness.

Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju was the governor of Anambra State for four years from 1999 to 2003 and died at the age of 78.

In his condolence message in a post on his Facebook page Atiku Abubarka described the former governor as a peaceful and quiet politician who saw no need for unnecessary bickering and crisis ridden politics in Anambra state where he lost his second term bid in 2003.

His Words;

I am sad to hear of the passing away of Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju, who governed Anambra State from 1999 to 2003. Mbadinuju was a quiet politician of note who saw no need for unnecessary bickering and crisis-ridden politics in Anambra State when he lost the 2003 election.

My sincere condolences to the Mbadinujus and the government and people of Anambra State on the loss of this illustrious son and father who still had much to contribute to the development of the state in particular and Nigeria in general.

May God continue to comfort the family and grant his soul eternal rest. -AA
