Tribunal; Adeleke Rejects Judgement Heads To Appeal Court

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has faulted the judgment of the election petitions tribunal which removed him as the authentic winner of the July 2022 governorship election tagging it as a miscarriage of justice.
Recall that the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal had only Friday 27th January 2023 nullified the election of Adeleke as the governor of Osun State citing over voting in some polling units across the state.

The majority judgements of two against one therefore, ordered INEC to withdraw the certificate of return which was issued to Adeleke and issued to Adegboyega Oyetola as the authentic governor of Osun State.
Reaction to the judgement,Adeleke described the resolution of the over-voting question in favor of Adegboyega Oyetola, as an unfair interpretation against the will of majority of voters.
Adeleke further vowed to appeal the judgment at the Court of Appeal, maintaining that he remains the rightful winner of the July 16 election.
